Javier Augusto Téllez Navarro
Managing Partner at Moeller IP Mexico
Javier is a Mexican attorney and philosopher with more than 25 years of experience in the field of intellectual property. He joined Moeller as Managing Partner of Moeller IP Advisors Mexico in June 2023.
In Mexico, his main objective is to lead the supervision of client portfolios, day-to-day work, and operations of the entire firm.
His academic background includes a Law degree from Universidad La Salle, a Philosophy degree from Universidad Panamericana, and a Master’s degree in Copyright, Industrial Property and New Technologies from Universidad Panamericana.
Javier has co-authored publications such as “Propiedad Intelectual en México” (Intellectual Property in Mexico), co-published by the Universidad Panamericana and Tirant lo Blanch, Mexico 2022, as well as an article in the Revista Iberoamericana de la Propiedad Intelectual (Iberoamerican Journal of Intellectual Property) since 2022.
He has served as Legal Counsel of the Division of Trademarks of the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI), as well as Coordinator of Trademarks and Litigation of the Southeast Regional Office of the IMPI, and as Deputy Director of Contracts and Copyrights of the General Directorate of Publications of the National Council of Culture and the Arts, now the Ministry of Culture.
Outside the office, Javier enjoys walking, reading theology, science fiction, astronomy, and historical novels, and listening to music, from classical to progressive rock.
